River Cruises
aboard the Silver Salmon
Boat trips can be
pre-booked on the Silver Salmon as private charters only, for
small or large groups and for any occasion. The charter rates
are based on the time scale, not the size of the party, as shown
on this page.
Cruise
in comfort and style along the River Avon and around
Bath City Centre in the summer season and around
Bristol harbour in the winter season. We
are always very happy to tailor the cruise
timings and itinerary to your individual
requirements and convenience, here's some
examples of our summer cruises....
Typical Cruise for up to 2 hours -
we include a leisurely cruise from our moorings
at Broadquay downriver to Weston Island, and
sail back upstream into the very centre of
Bath, into Pulteney Weir, and seeing
the famous bridge, the abbey and lots of the
Georgian architecture as well as a variety of
wildlife throughout the trip.
Typical cruise for up to 3 hours
- We sail further down, past Weston Island and
through the lock - always an interesting
experience - as far as the Boathouse pub at
Newbridge, before sailing back upstream into the
centre of Bath before returning to our moorings
at Broadquay.
Typical cruise for up to 4 hours
- We sail down through Weston lock, past the
Boathouse pub at Newbridge, and down towards Saltford
Marina and the Riverside at Kelston lock if time
permits, allowing time to sail into central Bath
before we return to our moorings.
Cruises available for longer duration
To
the Jolly Sailor at Saltford (approx. 5 hours
return)
To Bristol one way (usually 6 hours with a brief
stop, or the same trip to Bath from Bristol)
Why
not combine our on-board catering with your
trip, our
menus page will give you examples of what
can be pre-ordered, or just simply enjoy the
cruise up and down the river through the City of
Bath, with it's historic sights and views from
the River Avon. Teas, coffees and bar always
available.
